Petrel Limited is a UK manufacturer of lighting solutions for use in hazardous areas.

We have over 40 years of experience and knowledge in providing safe, reliable, high quality lighting products for harsh and hazardous areas.

Starting out in the 1930s as a company manufacturing metal conduit products, we have acquired hazardous area expertise from acquisitions and mergers during the 1970s and are now part of the UK headquartered Pioneer Safety Group.

Who We Are

Welcome to Petrel, the UK based Hazardous Area Lighting Company operating within the Pioneer Safety Group.

Our aim is a simple one:
To provide Safe, Reliable, High Quality products, designed for the rigours of a wide variety of hazardous area applications.
Be that an offshore platform, a utility or process plant or a simple workshop, we design and manufacture high performance solutions for Harsh and Hazardous places.

At the forefront of our design philosophy is to make it easy for customers to use Petrel products.
You will notice amongst our products, innovative design ideas to overcome real world situations, both in installation and ongoing routine maintenance for a low cost of lifetime ownership.
