Petrel were asked to provide a solution to the client’s individual requirement of low energy consumption, coupled with low ongoing maintenance costs. In particular, the client requested that an extremely robust product be installed due to the harsh and hazardous area environments the products were to be used. The environment for the project was mixed with many harsh areas due to the varied nature of the water process industry.

Petrel made several site visits to ascertain the exact requirements of the end user. Then working with the installing contractor, we selected the appropriate products to provide a viable solution to ensure that specifications were adhered to.

The 9 series range of products we installed around the site in zone 1 hazardous areas including storage tank top areas. The luminaires offered a fast installation due to the ease of mounting the product on its variable fixing centres. Ongoing maintenance was also kept to a minimum due to the robust build of the product as well as offering safe internal working with the included isolation switch on zone 1 variants.
